The politics of gardening in Hackney

This blog - Glamorous Gardener - appeared on a Google blog search yesterday (Saturday) and its latest post - called Hackney Council - is a polite but ruthlessly illustrated critique of Hackney Council's green fingers. Hopefully this is not an omen of some kind.

    let the planting begin! how nice to have the streets lined with dead plants. that's how communities come together and gentrify. dead plants. it may even bring in the tourists. seems like a brilliant way to spend the tax payers money.
