The Evening Standard's deputy political editor, Paul Waugh, was pursuing Diane Abbott yesterday. He wanted to know why "According to her claims for "Member Travel (AOE)", the Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP claimed £1,152 for taxi fares last year. Individual bills for £192.60, £120.40 and £153.10 were claimed on September 8, 2009."
He did catch up with her and she did explain it.
