PR Week reports on the activities of Hackney's two Conservative parliamentary candidates, Darren Caplan and Simon Nayyar (may still be contesting). Both PR men. B2L Public Affairs director and Citigate Dewe Rogerson Public Policy MD respectively. Both joined another PR man, David Cameron, as he delivered his keynote speech in Brighton.
They are up against former press officers Meg Hillier and Diane Abbott. And then there's Jules Pipe, former sub editor. Does this impressive media/communications headcount mean lots of spinning can be expected?

Well, there's already the wall-to-wall lamppost advertising - funded from the obviously entirely non political Council advertising budget, heralding the 0% tax rise from the rooftops.....
ReplyDeleteIn the context of this post, I'm pleased to report that neither of the Lib Dem candidates are from media or PR! You can see my career here: http://uk.linkedin.com/in/daveraval
